The First Taste...

Wouldn't you agree that the FIRST taste of you food is always the best? Do you chew extra slow?

Have you ever eaten something and the FIRST bite was fantastic but then after a while you were left with an ugly after taste? Hmmmmmm ever wonder why you didn't stop after the first bite? This is how we should view every relationship in our lives. Let me explain:

THE GOSSIPING HOMEGIRL
- She gives you info and you feed off of it. You begin to engage in a conversation that could very well leave with you with an unpleasant taste. At first, you're intrigued by the info she is giving you but then you realize "damn her ass may be telling my business to the next chick". Instead of stopping at that first taste, you engage in conversations, emails and texts about HER friends business. WHAT MAKES YOU THINK HER FRIENDS DONT KNOW YOUR BUSINESS? In the end, you're left hurt and you only have yourself to blame.... Watch who you tell your business to, everyone is not your friend. It may seem pleasant at the beginning but trust the after taste is sometimes unbearable!

THE MAN WITH RED FLAGS
- Time and time again we find ourselves in hurtful broken relationships. Did you not recognize the signs? You start off with (first taste) a fun and exciting NEW experience but somewhere in there you knew you had a weird taste. For example, a man is doing everything right (dates, manners, etc) but then you notice a weird feeling, almost as if you KNOW something is wrong about him. Then, BAM he lays it on ya! He doesn't want a relationship. You stick around hoping that he would change his mind. Ummmm HELLO the man was straight up with you. In the end, you are lonely and broken hearted. Left with that disgusting taste... Who do you have to blame? The first bite was good, then the weird TASTE came along and YOU KEPT EATING!!! SPit it out and move on...

I could go on and on with examples but I think you get my point. We must go through our lives aware of the "BAD AFTER TASTE". If you allow people to come in your life and leave you with nothing but regret (after taste), it's YOUR FAULT! Instead of ignoring signs, be mindful, recognize and move forward (spit it out). The first taste is always good but it's sometimes intended for just that ONE BITE! Don't you love the taste of sweet fruit? Stop allowing people or situations in your life that aren't fruitful! SPIT IT OUT....

Until Next time,
